Taak Dumadum Caterer started with one simple belief — that food at a celebration should feel as special as the occasion itself.
Over 11 years ago, we began our journey from the heart of Ballygunge, Kolkata, with a small team, a passion for authentic Bengali cooking, and a promise to never compromise on taste or hygiene.
Today, we have had the honour of serving at 378+ events across Kolkata — from intimate family gatherings and grand Bengali weddings to corporate lunches and outdoor festivals.

Here are honest answers to what most people ask us before booking.
What is the minimum number of guests you cater for?
We cater for events starting from 50 guests. For smaller intimate gatherings below 50, please call us and we will try our best to accommodate your needs.
How far in advance should I book?
For weddings and large events, we recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks in advance, especially during the wedding season (October to February). For smaller events, 2 weeks is usually sufficient. That said, do call us even for last-minute requirements — we will do our best.
Do you offer pure vegetarian menus?
Absolutely. We offer complete vegetarian menus for pujas, religious gatherings, and other events where guests prefer no non-vegetarian food. Our vegetarian kitchen setup ensures no cross-contamination.
Can I customise the menu or mix Bengali with other dishes?
Yes — this is actually one of our strengths. Most of our clients mix traditional Bengali dishes with Mughlai, North Indian, Chinese, or Continental items. We will help you design a menu that works for all your guests.
Do you provide serving staff and equipment?
Yes. All our packages include trained and uniformed serving staff, buffet counters, chafing dishes, and basic setup. For premium packages, we also provide decorated buffet tables and live counter setups.
Where do you cater in Kolkata?
We cater across all of Kolkata and surrounding areas including Ballygunge, Salt Lake, New Town, Dum Dum, Howrah, Barasat, and beyond. For locations outside Kolkata, please contact us directly to check availability.
